Leukotape P Sports Tape Overview
This high-strength tape is made of a durable, porous material. Designed specifically for patellofemoral taping, it offers rigid joint immobilization and limitation of movement. It helps brace sprains and strains to limit range of motion and create musculoskeletal structural support. In addition, it features a strong-hold zinc oxide adhesive, which is antibacterial and helps to maintain skin health.
Can This Be Used Directly on Skin?
While the tape can be used directly on skin, the adhesive is very strong to avoid it falling off during physical activity. It may pull at skin or hair and cause pain or damage the skin when removed. It is recommended that this be used with Cover Roll Stretch. The tape will adhere to the cover and make removal easier and painless. Once the tape has been removed, wipe away any remaining adhesive with an adhesive remover.
Things to Know Before Taping Up
Avoid areas where your skin is hypersensitive or areas with any active eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis. Don’t lay tape over fresh scars or sunburned skin. Remove moisturizers before taping. It is not necessary to shave the body in order to use the tape. If the sensation of pins and needles occurs, remove the tape. Rather than peeling it off, try cutting it off. In the event of circulatory problems, consult with a doctor before using tape.
Will This Prevent Blisters?
Due to the thickness of the tape, it can effectively prevent blisters. NOTE: Do not place tape on an already-existing blister as the tape may pull at or tear the skin and cause pain.
